The Four Princes
Long time ago, there were lived a wise King and beauty Queen. They had trusted Minister, in other word the Minister is The King’s younger brother. The King was wise, and kind hearted. But, the Minister had a sly attitude. He wanted the king’s throne to take over the kingdom, because the King has not have the Princes who could replace him. The King and the Queen was so sad. Everyday and every night they always prayed to the God in order to have a son. The King and the Queen have travelled all over the country to find out the shamans for get the way to have a son. But, it’s useless. The King and the Queen was so disappointed.
One clear day, the King has a plan to walked out to see his folk’s living. He walked around of his kingdom with his Queen and the Minister. When he was walking in the market, he met with an old woman. The Old Woman was so excited to met his king.
“my Lord, I’m glad to see you here. With all of my honor to the King,” yelled the Old Woman.
“thank you. What are you doing, Old Woman?” asked the King.
“I sell teak leaves, my Lord,” answered her.
“take care of you. Hope God bless you,” said the King and walked away.
“wait my Lord!” shouted the Old Woman.
“what’s the matter, Old Woman?” asked the King.
“the Queen will pregnant and you will have four Princes who replace your throne. Blessed you, my Lord,” said her.
The King and the Queen was very surprised to hear the Old Woman’s words. They were very happy and gave the Old Woman a pouch of gold coins. But, the Minister unhappy to hear that. He worried of his plan would be fail.
A few weeks later, the Queen was pregnant. The King was very happy. And the King made a huge ceremony to celebrate the Queen’s pregnancy along three days and three nights. The King invited all of his folks to came to his ceremony. But, the minister prepared a new plan to chase away the Queen from the kingdom.
Next day, the Queen wanted to take a bath in the river. So that the Minister accompanied the Queen to the river. When the Queen crossed the bridge, she slipper and fall into the river. But, the Minister didn’t help her and back to the kingdom. The King was very sad when the Minister told the Queen is dead. The King was searched for his wife, but he couldn’t found her.
But in the morning, the Queen came back to the kingdom. The King was very happy to see his wife is safe. Until that day, the King protected the Queen intensively. And the Minister almost gave up for his plan. But, he have another plan to get rid of the King.
After several months pregnant, finally the Queen was give birth four sons. The King and the Queen take care of them well until they grew up into a handsome and smart boys. the King always took them went hunting and teach them a lot of to be the next king.
Unfortunately, the King was sick so hard. The Queen and four Princes was very sad. They called all of shamans over the country to heal the King. But, no one shamans could healed the King. And then, the King was dead after he made a testament for his four Princes. But nobody knows, that the Minister put the poison into the King’s foods and drinks until the King’s death.
After the King’s death, the Queen made a decision to the Minister to lead her kingdom. It because the Queen thought that her sons not ready to replace their father’s throne yet, and because they not old enough.
But everything was changed. The Minister got the kingdom and he become the new king. He made a new rule for all the kingdom’s folk. He collected a high rent, so the folks getting suffer. The Minister used the rent for the personal extravagant party. The Queen was very angry and tried to fired the Minister. But the Minister refused it and command his guardian to send the Queen into the prison without four Princess known.
Next day, four Princes asked the Minister where their mother was.
“Uncle, where is our mother? I was searched in all room in this kingdom. But we can’t found her,” asked the Oldest Prince.
“Your mother was went to the neighbor kingdom, and will she will back soon,” answered the Minister.
“It’s a strange! Our mother always told us before if she want to go somewhere,” said the Second Prince suspicious.
“I don’t know! Probably, it’s a necessary affair. Just get out from my sight! I have a lot of business!” shouted the Minister angrily.
Then, they searched for their mother to the forest, village, mountain, and beach. But they still couldn’t found their mother.
One day, the kingdom’s folks was made a huge demonstration to fall down the Minister’s throne. They were unsatisfied with the rules. The Minister was so scared and command his guardian to dismiss the folks.
When the four Princes back to the kingdom, they was surprised for this demonstration. And then the Minister accused the four Prince who make the bad rule. So that the folks chased the four Princes and caught them.
“what’s going on? Why they catch us? What’s our mistake?” asked the Third Prince.
“Noooooooo that’s not true! We’re not a king. You the king, and you who made that rule!” cried the Youngest Prince.
“They lie! Catch them and throw them into the sea!” commanded the Minister.
All folks brought them into the sea. Before they thrown into the sea, the Oldest Prince shouted to the Minister.
“Uncle, listen up! If we’re the mistaken, this sea will change into a thunder-stormy sea. But if we’re not the mistaken one, this sea will change into a beautiful place and there will grow four islands!” scream the Oldest Prince.
“Nonsense! Throw they away!” cried the Minister angrily.
Then, the folks throw they into the sea. And magically! After few minutes thrown, the wavy sea turn into a clear-blue sea and the rocks disappear, change into a white sands. Then grew four islands in the middle of the sea. The Minister was so surprised.
“the Four Princes is true,” scared the old man.
“they not the mistaken one. But the King is the mistaken! Let’s send him into the prison!”
Finally, the Minister was sent into the prison until his death. The Queen was sad very much when she knows her beloved princes was gone. The Queen gave the kingdom to the neighbor kingdom. She decided to stay in the beach to live with their four sons until her last breath...
the coda of the story is : we shouldn't be dishonest person. and if you're the leader, be a wise and don't be an arrogant .
